The love and respect of the land passed on through many generations in our family. My father grew herbs , he worked for Herbária, and he loved to do beekeeping and he also had a unique passion for wine. He taught us hard work and the love of our plants. As an agricultural engineer, I continued on the path he started,and I am happy that my daughters follow this tradition.
The area is located on the Transdanubian hills , in the Völgység, on the South- Western part of the county. Most of the areas covered in sand and loess hills . We are growing apricot in almost 20 hectares in an exceptionally favourable position. On the Southern hilltops the frost is rare. We grow sour cherries in almost 25 hectares in a high and windy hill . We also have apples in a small area, but its more than enough to produce apple juice every year that all of our family happily enjoy throughout the year.
The Szekszárd wine region is rightly famous . More than 2,100 hectares of red grapes have been registered in the region. The best-known wine of the Szekszard region is Kekfrankos , a full-bodied red wine, which is a third of the total cultivated vineyard area. Other important wines of the region include Merlot , Cabernet Franc , Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt , but Kadarka, a spicy red wine is upcoming again.
